1st Edition [Thames & Hudson - 1983]. This is the exceedingly scarce and desirable Volume 1. 48 tipped-in plates. The one and only slight fault with this magnificent copy is the slight remains of a price sticker at the very top right hand edge of the front dust jacket flap. Otherwise: the book itself is Very Fine and complete, and has the card listing the plates laid in at the front. The dust jacket is Very Fine and does not show the slightest trace of wear. The original slipcase is also present, and in Fine condition, with a Fine paste on to the front panel. NOT an ex-library copy and probably only opened once or twice.
