First Edition [Holiday House - 2000]. [Signed] by Amy Lowry Poole at the title page. There is also a [Signed] promo postcard laid in. The story is actually an Aesop fable, but retold and illustrated here by Lowry in a Chinese setting. Lowry spent a number of years in China studying scroll making and working with a number of Chinese artists. Her work has been shown in Beijing, Chicago, New York and Maine. A Fine copy in a like dust jacket - the only flaw is that the upper tips are slightly bumped - scarce thus, particularly with the signature. Stated first edition. NOT an ex-library copy!
