Store Policies

ACCEPTED PAYMENTS

All payments must be made in US Dollars. We accept the following:

  • VISA
  • MasterCard
  • American Express
  • Discover
  • PayPal
  • Checks: payable to "Heirloom Bookstore, LLC" (See Note Below)
  • Money Orders: see above
NOTE: If paying by check, please be advised that there may be a two week delay while the check clears our bank.

Pennsylvania residents are subject to a 6% State Sales Tax unless they provide us with an exemption certificate.

SHIPPING DOMESTIC

All domestic U.S. shipments are sent via the United States Postal Service (USPS) either by Media Mail or Priority Mail depending on your selection and include Delivery Confirmation (DC) Service and insurance. Orders providing us with an email address receive an electronic shipment notification when the book is dispatched. Notice provides the DC tracking number and a real-time status link to the package's progress on the USPS website.

SHIPPING INTERNATIONAL

We are very comfortable transporting books to points around the globe. Various shipping options, all of which are insured by us, are available for our international customers. If the book will fit into the USPS packaging, our advice is to ship via Global Priority Flat Rate Envelope. Anything over 4 lbs. will have to be shipped via Global Express Mail, Air or Surface Parcel Post, or M-Bag. Let us know your preference and we can quote an exact amount.

REGRETS: WE DO NOT SHIP TO INDONESIA, MALAYSIA, NIGERIA OR ANY OTHER COUNTRY THAT IS NOTORIOUS FOR CREDIT CARD FRAUD!

PACKAGING

All items shipped from our store are carefully sealed, wrapped, and boxed to ensure that your book reaches you in the same condition as when it left our store. It is a simple matter of customer service: this is a VERY important issue for us when buying a book, and we are sure that it is an important issue for our buyers too!

INSURANCE

All shipments are insured by us through a private insurance carrier. This is automatic and does not require any extra payment on your behalf. If a shipment should arrive damaged, please retain all packaging and the book for inspection (if needed), and notify us immediately.

REFUNDS

All our books are guaranteed to be as described. If not as described [and only if not as described], we have a “7 Day from Receipt” return policy. All returns must be done by prior agreement, arriving at our store in the same condition as received by the buyer. Return packages MUST BE INSURED AT THE PURCHASE PRICE and shipped to us within 7 days of receipt.

DEALER DISCOUNTS

We are happy to extend reciprocal courtesies to legitimate trade professionals. Please provide a tax id number, store name, and store location or url in your request.
